Each year at Syttende Mai, members of the community are recognized for their dedication and love for Spring Grove. We count on the public to nominate members through word of mouth, e-mail, or by submitting a form online. The nominations are chosen through a simple selection process completed by the Syttende Mai Committee. To be nominated, the person must be a Spring Grove Community member who has not been recognized by the Syttende Mai Celebration as an honoree in the past. Each year, we select Grand Parade Marshals, a Business Person of the Year, Most Honored Lady, King of the Trolls, and Honorary Norwegian.
